Buyer funded Public Network end of support
Frequently asked questions
bp pulse will be focusing its efforts on creating ultrafast charging hubs in convenient locations for our customers to help them in the EV transition. This means bp pulse will no longer be able to support ‘buyer-funded’ charging destinations.
Charging units owned directly by business customers and wholesalers.
Previously, bp pulse sold EV charge points directly to business customers and wholesalers. Customers could choose to buy and own their own charge points and be responsible for running them. bp pulse supported this by providing the systems needed to enable charging and manage access, while ownership and day-to-day operation of the charge points remained with the customer.
All charging unit owners have been notified of end of support and bp pulse referred them to alternative Charge Point Operators who could help migrate their charging units. The future of the units is now an owner led responsibility.
Only owners of individual units can determine this working with an alternative Charge Point Operator.
bp pulse branding will be removed in due course throughout decommissioning.
As the chargers do not belong to bp pulse, we cannot dictate what the charger owners wish to do with them or when they will be available on another network. Please contact the unit owner to discuss any further questions.
We will not be able to offer a discount to bp pulse subscribers who can still benefit from over 20% on our contactless rates across our network of growing ultrafast chargers in convenient locations.
