In November 2024, bp pulse LIVE opened its doors at Birmingham’s NEC, bringing together world-class entertainment and ultrafast EV charging in one incredible venue. Here’s how bp pulse LIVE has made its mark, and how we’re celebrating a year of huge concerts with a bonus for you.

Big names, big nights, big energy

In 2025 bp pulse LIVE has hosted some of the biggest names in music. Concert-goers flocked to the likes of Calvin Harris, Kylie, Charlie XCX, Bastille, Olly Murs, Boy George, Bryan Adams, André Rieu, Kasabian, McFly and Andre Rieu and more. Thousands of excited fans have walked through our doors, and we’ve been proud to give our EV driver visitors some extra-special attention.

Every EV is a VIP

bp pulse LIVE is about much more than music. It’s also about making every EV driver feel welcome. Our EVIP Lounge has become a favourite pre-show hangout, and thousands have kicked off their night in style with:

• Free entry for EV drivers and up to four guests

• A private entrance to skip the queue

• Comfy seating and a premium food and drink menu

• A wildbean cafe self-serve hot drinks machine

• A foosball table for pre-concert fun

• Surprise perks like glitter tattoos, face painting and welcome drinks

£10 EV charging voucher

To mark the first year of bp pulse LIVE, we’re giving every EV driver who visits the EVIP Lounge a £10 EV charging voucher to redeem at any bp pulse charger nationwide. Plus, throughout our anniversary month, guests will receive a complimentary welcome drink to toast the occasion.

From gigs to Gigahubs

Just minutes from the venue, the bp pulse Gigahub has become a game-changer for EV drivers visiting Birmingham. With 180 rapid and ultrafast charge points, it’s one of the UK’s largest ev charging stations and therefore perfect for topping up before, during or after a show. And if you use one of our ultrafast chargers before your gig, you’ll get a free upgrade to VIP parking. That’s what we call a power move.

Backing music’s next generation

We’re also proud to support Music Workshop, our charity partner helping young musicians take their first on-stage steps. In the last year, 10 youth bands – some as young as 12 – have performed on the bp pulse warm-up stage, opening for major acts and gaining invaluable and unforgettable experience in front of a live audience.
