In short, it depends. The speed of charging is determined by the power of the charge points, but in principle, the more powerful the charging point, the shorter the charging time. Charging time will also depend on your vehicle’s battery size, the state of charge (%) of your battery at the time, your vehicle’s charging capacity and whether another customer is also accessing the same charger.

Prior to commencement of each bp pulse charging session, there will be a temporary pre-authorisation charge to confirm your payment method. This is to ensure your payment method is valid and to protect our customers from fraudulent activities.
After your successful charging session, final payment will be deducted and your pre-authorisation amount will be refunded to you (refund timelines will depend on your bank).
Time of Use (ToU) pricing means you pay a different price when you charge up your EV depending on the time of day. This means you could save money on your charging costs by shifting your charging times to off-peak hours of the day vs peak rates.
bp pulse is committed to providing drivers with a great EV charging experience and ensuring charging is as convenient as possible. We believe TOU pricing can help us achieve this goal by enabling us to offer you lower prices when the cost to supply electricity is lower. Encouraging more customers to charge during off-peak hours has the added bonus of helping reduce congestion during busier periods, helping you get back on the road faster.
At bp pulse, our TOU prices are split into peak and off-peak, periods of the day at select locations. These periods can vary by location – so always check the bp pulse app for real-time pricing updates.
The price you pay is determined by the time that your charging occurs at. This means that the pricing rate for your session may vary if this crosses into more than one pricing period. Always refer to the bp pulse app for real-time pricing updates.
Yes – you can review a breakdown of the pricing on your receipt. When using the bp pulse app, this is emailed to you automatically. Alternatively, you can email at evdriversupport@bp.com. to request a receipt.
Because pricing can vary by location and time of day, a little planning goes a long way. The bp charge app is your go-to tool to check real-time charger availability and pricing before you plug in.
