Important Update: Buyer funded network closure
We wanted to inform our customers that we’ve made the difficult decision to end our support for our buyer funded charger network. These are chargers which bp pulse previously sold direct to wholesalers and customers. For a period, these chargers were hosted on the bp pulse network, but charger owners will now have to find an alternative solution. In September 2025, all affected charge point owners were notified and given more than three months’ notice that support would end in early 2026. The service was fully withdrawn on 1 February 2026.
At bp pulse, we’re focused on becoming a simpler, more customer-focused business and a leader in the UK’s ultra-fast and rapid charging market. To achieve this, we’re prioritising on-the-go charging hubs and expanding EV charging at bp forecourts.
What this change means for owners:
End of system support. bp pulse will no longer provide the technology to support charger ownership
Owners will now be responsible for finding a new charge point operator for charger functionality and use ongoing. We provided a list of recommended CPOs who were able to support the adoption of these customers chargers.
Customers who use these chargers may experience downtime or closures whilst the charger owners find a new charge point operator to work with.
For more information, please refer to our FAQ’s. Here is the full list of the chargers affected and no longer available to access via the bp pulse network.
We thank you for your patience whilst bp pulse makes improvements to its network.
The bp pulse team.
